Benchmark Arbitrator Ross Hostetter Ross Hostetter, Attorney-Mediator Ross has been practicing law in Texas since 1979, and has been a full-time mediator since 1989. Ross has mediated over 3,000 disputes and has substantial expertise in large multi-party commercial litigations, personal injury cases involving catastrophic loss, and matters where special sensitivity to clients is a factor. He is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. where he was executive editor of the law review, and holds a degree in psychology from the University of Illinois. Ross has been recognized by D Magazine as one of the best lawyers in Dallas, based on an independent poll of 3,000 attorneys. He has also been named a "Texas Super Lawyer" four times by Texas Monthly Magazine and has been recognized as a "Master Mediator" by Pepperdine University Law School. In 2007 he received the Steve Brutche award from the Association of Attorney-Mediators in recognition of his outstanding lifetime service to the profession. Ross is an experienced teacher, having designed and conducted numerous multi-day training courses for trial lawyers throughout the United States and Canada. More than 1,000 attorneys have attended these trainings. In addition, Ross has conducted in-house consulting and training for such clients as the Federal Reserve Bank, the FDIC, Chevron Corporation, the Texas College of Advanced Judicial Studies, and a variety of national and local law firms. He has been featured as a speaker at the international conference of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution, and at dozens of professional association meetings and conferences.
